How safe is foam?
Foam produced within the UK is specifically manufactured to comply with British Standard Institute Regulations; meaning that our foams will not contain chlorofluorocarbons (CFCs) or Polybrominated diphenyl ethers (PBDEs).
Why has my foam has changed colour?
Polyurethane foam reacts with natural light and carbon monoxide, causing it to discolour usually to a yellow; hence its unsuitability for outdoor use, unless covered. However, the quality of the foam is not tarnished and is 100% safe to use. So if your foam has discoloured, you will have nothing to worry about.
Why does my foam smell?
Many types of foam will have a ‘new foam’ odour. Different foams will have different fragrances and intensities of smell. This smell is harmless and will usually take 6 – 9 weeks to fully dissipate.
What do you mean by sheet foam?
As polyurethane foam is bought in large blocks, we are able to slice off a ‘sheet’ of material, similar to cutting a slice from a loaf of bread. This allows us to supply our high quality, a commercial standard material in varying thicknesses, ready to be used to our customer’s liking.
